You’re Not Winning (Yet)—Here’s Why That’s Okay 🖤

Hey Reader!

Let’s take a deep breath and keep it real: sometimes it feels like the world is moving fast and you’re stuck on pause. You see people making big moves—new jobs, dream vacations, “soft life” vibes—and you’re just trying to keep your head above water. It can be discouraging, especially when you’ve been grinding, sacrificing, and showing up again and again without seeing the results.

But let me remind you with love and truth: you’re not behind. You’re becoming.

From the moment we were brought here, Black people have had to plant seeds in soil meant to choke us. And still—we bloom. We rise. We build legacies even when we’re told to settle for survival. You, too, are part of that legacy. And like every powerful bloom, growth takes time, space, and patience.

Let’s be clear: you’re not losing. You’re still in motion. You’re evolving.

Even the greats had seasons of quiet hustle before their seasons of loud impact.
🖤 Oprah was told she wasn’t cut out for TV.
🖤 Maya Angelou didn’t publish her first book until her late 30s.
🖤 Issa Rae was creating in her own lane for years before mainstream doors opened.
🖤 Serena Williams didn’t win every early match—but she never let the losses stop her next move.

Their glow-ups were rooted in resilience—and yours is too.

Here are three reminders to hold close when life feels like it’s on hold:

1. Progress is still progress.

Even when it’s quiet. Even when it’s small. Whether you’re taking bold leaps or baby steps, movement is movement. That one task you checked off today? That one hard conversation you had? That moment you showed up anyway? That’s how change starts.

2. The journey is shaping you.

It’s not just about the goal—it’s about the strength, self-awareness, and clarity you’re gaining as you go. This season is building your strategy, sharpening your vision, and deepening your foundation. That growth matters. You’re not who you were even six months ago—and that deserves recognition.

There is power in every act of showing up for yourself, even when no one’s watching. This part of the journey is preparing you for what’s ahead.

3. Stay consistent. Keep building.

The world will catch up. The opportunities, the recognition, the rest—it will come. Right now, what matters is that you don’t give up. You don’t need to have it all figured out today. Keep planting. Keep watering. The harvest is coming.

You may not feel like you’re “winning” right now, but don’t mistake the waiting for failure. Some of your biggest breakthroughs are born in the quiet. Your glow-up is already happening in ways you can’t yet see.

So hold your head up, breathe deep, and keep going.
✨ You are not late.
✨ You are not alone.
✨ You are in progress.

Your glow-up is loading—and it’s going to be legendary.

🖤 Keep going, sis.

And remember: Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it’s not happening. You are walking into something powerful—one step at a time. Don’t stop now.

Best,
'Tine

Hey Reader! Let’s be honest — a lot of us were raised to push through. To keep our heads down. To be “strong” no matter what. So when burnout creeps in, or doubt starts whispering, our first instinct is to handle it ourselves. But here’s the truth: We’re not meant to do this alone. And we’re not meant to wait until we hit a wall to reach for support. Too many Black women carry the weight of a whole household, a whole team, a whole vision — without having anyone to carry them. We’ve been...
